​The 79th International Conference of Young Scholars “Karazin Readings”

On April 24, 2026, Olha Vovk, Sergiy Posokhov, and Yevhen Rachkov, the co-coordinators of the project “CITY AND WAR 2.0,” took part in organizing the 79th International Conference of Young Scholars “Karazin Readings.”

Olha Vovk moderated the section “Source Studies and Auxiliary Historical Disciplines.”

Sergiy Posokhov chaired the section “Historiography” and, during the plenary session, presented academic awards established in honor of the historians Yu.I.Zhuravskyi and B.K.Myhal. These awards recognize the best conference papers in Ukrainian history and historiography presented at the “Karazin Readings.”

Yevhen Rachkov moderated the section “History of Sloboda Ukraine and Kharkiv.”

As part of the conference, Mariia Dotsenko, assistant to the project head, delivered a paper titled “Participation of Ukrainian Scholars in the International Congresses of Historical Sciences (1900–1995)” and was awarded the Yu.I.Zhuravskyi Prize.
