On April 2, 2026, Olha Vovk, co-coordinator of the “CITY AND WAR 2.0” project, participated in the opening of the exhibition “Museum in an Emergency Suitcase,” held at the Museum of Archaeology at V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University.
The exhibition focuses on the history of the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore, which, as a result of the Russo-Ukrainian War, was displaced twice and resumed its activities each time. The event brought together representatives of Kharkiv’s museum and heritage preservation community, who shared their experiences and case studies on safeguarding and rescuing cultural heritage in wartime.
During the event, Olha Vovk highlighted the heritage preservation efforts carried out under wartime conditions by staff of the Department of Historiography, Heritage Studies, and Archaeology, as well as the Petro Tronko Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local History at V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University.
The exhibition was organized by the Luhansk Regional Museum of Local Lore and the NGO “CLIO HUB,” with support from the Geneva Heritage Lab and the University of Fribourg (Switzerland).
