On January 10, 2026, Nataliia Ivanova and Sergiy Posokhov, the co-coordinators of the project “CITY AND WAR 2.0,” participated in a meeting of memory work practitioners, members of the professional community, and government representatives from Kharkiv Region.
The event marked one step in developing the concept for a memorial honoring the fallen soldiers of the Kharkiv Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force. Discussions focused on the memorial’s key messages and target audiences. Participants also explored how civil society can contribute to shaping a new language of remembrance of the Russo-Ukrainian War. Organizers emphasized that creating memorial sites should be a collaborative effort involving local residents, military personnel, professional communities, and local authorities.
