CITY AND WAR 2.0

​A new research project has been launched – "CITY AND WAR 2.0: Transformations in the cultural landscapes of the major cities of eastern and southern Ukraine during the Russo-Ukrainian War."

The goal of the project is to explore transformations in the cultural landscapes of the major cities of eastern and southern Ukraine during the Russo-Ukrainian War.

The project focuses on both material and immaterial components of the urban cultural landscape, including:

  • urban spaces;
  • cultural heritage;
  • sites of memory;
  • festive traditions;
  • commemorative practices.

As part of the project, various online events will be held, including lectures, presentations, discussions, webinars, and more.

Project organizers: members of V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University (Kharkiv, Ukraine) and the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, University of Alberta.
