On March 27, 2025, Yevhen Rachkov and Olha Vovk, the coordinators of the “CITY AND WAR” project, participated in the XVI Lunov Readings, which focused on the topic “Museum, Library, and Archival Repositories: History, Contemporary Challenges, and Innovations.”
The conference was held in an online format and brought together museum employments, historians, art historians, and heritage experts from museums, research, and educational institutions in Kharkiv, Poltava, and their respective regions. The primary organizers of the conference included V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University, the Association of Museum Employments from Higher Education Institutions in Kharkiv, and the Kharkiv Branch of the National Union of Local Lore Scholars of Ukraine.
As part of the conference, Yevhen Rachkov delivered a presentation titled “Preserving Ukraine’s Cultural Heritage in the Era of the 'Digital Turn': Challenges and Prospects,” where he explored key issues related to the use of digital technologies in the preservation of Ukraine’s cultural heritage.
Olha Vovk, one of the conference organizers, served as the moderator of the session “Current Issues in the Preservation of Cultural Heritage Monuments in Emergency Situations.” She also presented the outcomes on the research project “Ukrainian-Polish Cooperation in the Preservation of Cultural Heritage During Russian Military Aggression.”
